As we're nearing the end of the semester, I have a bunch of updates for you regarding end of semester activities and updates with our organization. Please see below!
Upcoming Events
- End of Semester Holiday Party (Friday, 12/02 @8pm): Celebrating the end of classes, we'll be holding a holiday party including food, drinks, games, and white elephant. More details to follow, keep an eye out for updates in the next week or two!
- Study Nights (TBD): We'll be holding some study nights in Soda during dead week (12/05 - 12/09) with snacks and drinks to fuel your finals studying and last minute project programming.
- Initiation Ceremony / Officer Elections / Alumni Dinner (Thursday, 12/08): It's almost time to initiate our new candidates! We will be holding our initiation ceremony, followed by new officer elections and our initiation / alumni appreciation dinner. Candidates, you must have your challenges done by this time. Our dinner will be taking place in SF at a location to be announced soon. Stay tuned for an update next week!
General Updates
- Organizational Improvements: We are undergoing some organizational changes in preparation for next semester in an effort to streamline our operations and make UPE a better contributor to the CS department. This includes changes in officer roles as well as changes in the way we handle our services and activities. We are still in the process of working out these changes, so if you have any feedback on what you would like to see changed for next semester, we would welcome your opinion!
