Please come and join us for our [current year - 1st initiation year] th initiation ceremony for UPE candidates! The initiation will start at 3pm, so candidates please be there on time! Officers please come at 2:15pm to help set up and do a little jig before the ceremony starts.

Come learn more about Upsilon Pi Epsilon, while eating some scrumptious sushi! The first meeting is generally targeted to candidates, but all are welcome. We'll introduce you to the group and members, talk about the criteria for joining and some of the steps that are necessary, outline some of the many! benefits of joining, and generally also try to mingle and have some fun. And who knows, maybe there will be a private concert by the Arcade Fire or Franz Ferdinand too. Anything's possible! (cough)

Initiation usually involves hazing of some sort, but not us. We will be holding a three-part skit featuring Upsilon, Pi, and Epsilon, the president and vice president. So put your Shakespearean hat on for the finest in thespian acts.

We will hold initiation in Wozniak Lounge beginning promptly at 6:30pm. Officer set-up is at 6:00pm. Candidates line up outside the lounge for procession. Around 7:30pm, we clean up and head off to Macaroni Grill Italian restaurant in El Cerrito for banquet (up to $20 subsidized per person; a typical meal is in the $9-12 range).
