Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE)

UPE is open to the best and the brightest computer science students, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. There are two ways you can join UPE:

• Excellent grades. At the beginning of the semester, we invite the top third CS majors to join our organization. These people are listed on the Candidates page.
• Excellent work. For those who are not in the upper third but meet the following criteria, come to our first meeting or contact us. We'll be happy to discuss your options with you.
• above 3.0 GPA
• experience in two of the following: industry, research, or teaching

Why should I care?

You get to be a part of a renowned honors society, eligible for UPE's scholarships and a free year's membership to the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). You can participate in exclusive society events, ingest free food, and receive entertainment. As a member, you can network with talented, motivated people at the top of the CS class. We will help you establish connections with research projects, key faculty, and industry contacts. Finally, you will be recognized when you graduate as one of the few who have achieved much in your academic career.
